Barwon Water secures Regional Partnership Development Fund grant

The Victorian Government is supporting Barwon Water with a Regional Partnership Development Fund grant to progress research and planning towards two proposed sustainability initiatives.

The initiatives are part of Barwon Water’s Accelerating Barwon’s Clean Economy Transition project, which seeks to develop a coordinated, regional-scale effort to transition to a renewable energy and circular economy.

The first is a study to investigate and identify what is needed to develop a Clean Economy Transition Acceleration Plan for the region.

The second supports the production of a business case to develop a Circular Economy Hub within a new state of the art organic waste processing precinct. The precinct would provide developers with ready access to resources, services and support.
