Business Plan 2024-2025
RDA Barwon South West is committed to advancing strategic regional priorities by focusing activities and strategy to deliver the Regional Investment Framework (RIF). This includes targeted investment in people, places, services, industries, and local economies.
Our strategic priorities for 2024-2025 are designed to drive long-term economic growth and sustainability by leveraging the region’s unique strengths and emerging opportunities. These include:
- Advancing the agri-food supply chain
- Accelerating high-value manufacturing
- Realising the potential of the region's visitor economy
- Improving workforce participation, skills development and growth
- Building a sustainable and comate-resilient economy.
Our approach involves supporting regional stakeholders, including local governments and the not-for-profit sector, in seeking grant opportunities that align with these priorities. We actively contribute to decarbonisation efforts and the transition to a net-zero economy, promoting regional linkages to achieve these goals. By building the evidence base for economic development through innovation and diversification strategies, we can ensure that our region remains competitive, resilient, and prosperous. Our work also involves facilitating meaningful engagement across all levels of government, contributing relevant data and local intelligence to inform regional development strategies, program design, and policy responses.
Our work ensures that the region remains competitive, resilient, and prosperous.
